How to Get to Crook’s Hallow Island
Before you can start collecting Candy, you’ll need to travel to the new event island. There are two ways to get there:
1. Via the Flying Dutchman NPC:
Head to Moosewood Dock, where you’ll see a glowing green ghost ship. Talk to the Flying Dutchman, and he’ll transport you directly to Crook’s Hallow.
2. Using the Frightful Mirror:
If you already have the Frightful Mirror item in your backpack, simply use it to teleport instantly to Crook’s Hallow Island.
There are four main methods to collect Candy during the event.
Here’s how each one works and which is the fastest for farming.
1. Trick or Treating (Best for Quick Candy Boosts)
This is the simplest and fastest way to get Candy early in the event.
Open your backpack (press G) and equip the Candy Bucket item.
Walk around Crook’s Hallow Island and look for houses with number plates on the doors.
Approach a door while holding your bucket and press E to knock.
An NPC will open the door and give you Candy — whether they “trick” or “treat” you doesn’t matter, you’ll still get rewarded!
You can repeat this across multiple houses for a consistent Candy flow. Sometimes, you might even get limited-time FischFright fish as bonus drops.
Pro Tip: Houses reset after a short cooldown, so make a loop around the island and revisit them regularly.
2. Completing NPC Quests (Best for Large Candy Rewards)
Scattered across Crook’s Hallow are special NPCs offering Halloween-themed quests.
Each one rewards you with a large amount of Candy upon completion.
For example, you’ll find Vlad, an NPC near the Witch’s area, who might ask you to bring him a Vampire Perch or other special fish.
How it works:
Talk to NPCs by pressing E.
They’ll tell you what item or fish they need.
Fish for the requested item, or sometimes you can get it via trick-or-treating.
Return and submit it to complete the quest and earn Candy.

Wait for the on-screen notification announcing the Goblin’s location.
Travel to the specified island (could be Mushgrove Island, Forsaken Shores, or another).
Complete the Goblin’s small challenge or mini-task to get the ingredient.
Return to Beatrix and submit it into the cauldron.
Each submission gives you a large amount of Candy, and sometimes extra FischFright-exclusive rewards.
Pro Tip: Keep your boat ready at all times. The Goblin spawns are time-sensitive and disappear quickly.
4. Fishing for Frightful Crates (Low-Effort Passive Farming)
While exploring the waters around Crook’s Hallow, you might come across Frightful Crates.
These crates can be fished up like regular catches.
Opening them can reward you with:
Small bundles of Candy
Rare FischFright fish
Occasional collectible event items
Although this method gives smaller rewards, it’s perfect to combine with normal fishing or quest grinding.
