How to Start the Groundbreaking Quest

You receive the Groundbreaking quest from the trader Apollo.

When accepting the quest, Apollo provides a short briefing that hints at construction research and a paper trail tied to Pilgrim’s Peak.

Once accepted, the quest automatically gives you a key needed to access a locked room later in the mission.

Groundbreaking Quest Objectives

You must complete the following objectives in order:

  • Enter the locked room at Pilgrim’s Peak

  • Search the room for construction research

  • Find the building shown on the whiteboard

  • Photograph the Abandoned Housing Project

Each step is tied to a specific interaction and location on the Blue Gate map.

Enter the Locked Room at Pilgrim’s Peak

Pilgrim’s Peak is located on the northern side of the Blue Gate map.

To reach the locked room:

  • Enter Pilgrim’s Peak through the main gate

  • Move inside the Comms Tower structure

  • Walk toward the back of the main hall

  • Turn right and continue a short distance

  • Turn right again to find a locked door on the right side

Enter the Locked Room at Pilgrim’s Peak

Use the quest key provided by Apollo to open this door.

Once inside, you have officially completed the first objective.

Search the Room for Construction Research

Inside the locked room, look for a whiteboard placed toward the right side of the room.

To complete this objective:

  • Approach the whiteboard

  • Inspect it when prompted

This interaction reveals an image of an abandoned housing site, which becomes your next destination.

After inspecting the whiteboard, exit Pilgrim’s Peak and move southeast on the Blue Gate map.

The abandoned housing project is an outdoor structure, and once you are close enough, the quest will guide you with a marker.

You do not need to search randomly. The marker will update once you are in the correct general area.

Photograph the Abandoned Housing Project

To complete the final objective:

  • Stand at the marked spot near the housing project

  • Wait for the Take Photo prompt to appear

  • Use the interaction key to photograph the building

Once the photo is taken, the Groundbreaking quest is completed immediately.

No extraction condition is required for the photo itself.

Rewards for Completing the Groundbreaking Quest

After finishing the quest, return to Apollo to receive your rewards.

You will receive:

  • 1x Power Rod

  • Tangerine color variant of the Warden’s Outfit

These rewards are granted instantly after quest completion.
