The Easter Update (Part 1) has officially arrived in 99 Nights in the Forest, and the stakes are higher than ever. Beyond the usual survival grind, players can now hunt down 11 unique eggs to unlock a highly coveted, limited-stock UGC Deer Egg hat.
Whether you’re a solo survivor or playing with a squad, here is exactly how to find every egg and secure your free rewards.
How the Easter Event Works
To begin your hunt, head to the new Easter Bunny NPC located at the camp.
The Basket: Pick up an Easter Basket from the table near the Bunny. You cannot collect special eggs without it.
The Goal: Collect and “ready” 10 unique eggs to unlock the Limited UGC Reward.
The Shop: Submitting eggs grants you Egg Currency, which can be spent in the lobby for permanent pet skins, furniture, and diamonds.
All 11 Egg Locations & How to Unlock Them
Unlike previous events, most eggs in 2026 require a specific “puzzle” or task to be completed before they are considered “ready” for submission.
1. Basic Egg
-
Location: Spawns randomly across the entire map.
-
How to get: These roll away when you get close! You need to be fast to grab them.
-
Note: You’ll need extra Basic Eggs for the “Cooked Egg” recipe.
2. Basketball Egg
-
Location: Found at any Basketball Court landmark.
-
How to get: You cannot turn this in immediately. You must score a basket by throwing the egg through the hoop first.
3. Chick Egg
-
Location: Look for a gated Hatchery/Chicken Coop in the wild.
-
How to get: Find the 6 baby chickens nearby. You must tame or hit them toward the nests inside the coop. Once all 6 are sleeping, the egg on the roof becomes collectible.
4. Lightning Egg
-
Location: Found under Red Umbrellas (Parasols) scattered on the map.
-
How to get: This egg is “unpowered.” Place it near a Lightning Rod during a thunderstorm. Once struck by lightning, it will charge and be ready to collect.
5. Cooked Egg
-
Location: Crafted at your camp.
-
How to get: Place 3 Basic Eggs into a Crockpot. Wait for the cooking timer to finish, and a Cooked Egg will pop out.
6. Glowing Egg (Formerly Cold Egg)
-
Location: Inside the Polar Bear Den in the Arctic biome.
-
How to get: Use an axe to break it out of the ice. It starts as a “Cold Egg.” Take it back to your camp and place it near a Level 4 Campfire to thaw. Once it starts glowing, it’s ready.
7. Volcano Egg
-
Location: The Volcanic biome Altar.
-
How to get: You must find 8 Cultists wearing Bunny Ears. Sacrifice them into the volcano. You’ll know it’s working if the altar flames turn purple. The egg will spawn on the pedestal.
8. Pelt Egg
-
Location: Obtained from the Pelt Trader.
-
How to get: Hunt wolves or bears until a rare “Easter Pelt” (pastel/rainbow colored) drops. Trade this specific pelt to the Trader to receive the egg.
9. Frog Egg
-
Location: The Frog Boss Den.
-
How to get: You must collect all 8 keys to enter the den. Once inside, the egg will be bouncing around the room. You don’t have to kill the boss to grab it, but it helps!
10. UFO Egg (Alien Egg)
-
Location: The Alien Mothership.
-
How to get: Find a “Festive Alien” (wearing bunny ears) near a crashed UFO. Take it to the scanner in the final room of the Mothership (near the exit) to spawn the egg.
11. Fish Egg
-
Location: Any body of water.
-
How to get: This is a low-chance drop while fishing. Use a high-luck rod to speed up the process. Note: Some players reported this as bugged on day one, so keep an eye on patch notes!
Pro-Tips for Speedrunners
The Egg Hunter Class: If you have this class unlocked, use it! It increases the spawn rate of Basic Eggs, making the Cooked Egg quest much faster.
UGC Stock: The Deer Egg UGC is limited to the first 50,000 players. Check the “Stock Remaining” on the event board to see if you’re still in time.
Teamwork: One player can focus on thawing the Cold Egg while another hunts the Festive Alien. This is the fastest way to hit the 10-egg requirement.
