Roll Anime to Fight Traits Tier List: Best Picks and Reroll Advice

Cursed is our top damage-focused pick, while Shaman and Viking suit different team roles. A good Roll Anime to Fight trait should improve the job you need a unit to do. The rarest result is not always the right reason to spend your last Trait Shard.

This September 2026 ranking is an editorial assessment of reported effects, not a claim of hands-on benchmarking. The reference lists 18 named traits despite describing a total of 17. All 18 entries are included below; confirm the current index after updates.

How we ranked the traits

This list gives the most weight to a clear improvement in a unit’s intended role. We then consider whether the benefit is reliable, whether it has a condition, and whether it helps your current objective. We do not use roll rarity as a substitute for performance.

S means a strong target for the right role. A means a result worth keeping on a suitable unit. B is a useful stopping point while building a team. C is a lower-priority long-term target, not a reason to leave a unit unused.

Best trait choices by role

Damage carry

Focus your best offensive result on a unit you expect to keep using. Spreading a small shard budget across temporary units can leave your main attacker unfinished. Before rerolling, ask whether the team needs more damage or is losing for another reason.

Frontline or survival role

A survival effect matters when a unit is dying before it can contribute. If it already stays alive throughout the fight, investing further in that role may help less than fixing another weakness. That is why Ghost is placed as a strong conditional choice rather than an automatic best pick.

Healing and support

Match a specialist effect to a unit that can use it. Shaman is a role-based recommendation, not a reason to treat every unit as a healer. Check the unit’s own abilities before applying a support-focused priority.

Gold farming

Decide whether this session is for progression or income. An economy result can be worth keeping on a farming unit even when it sits below the strongest combat options. Judge it by the objective you selected before the run.

How to reroll traits

Reportedly, a unit holds one trait and each reroll at the Trait Machine costs one Trait Shard. Sources of shards include enemy kills, Season Pass progression, and codes. Check the current machine and reward menus before rolling.

  1. Select the unit you intend to improve.
  2. Read its existing trait and decide which result would count as good enough.
  3. Set aside a fixed shard budget.
  4. Roll at the machine and inspect the result before continuing.
  5. Stop when the result suits the unit, even if a rarer trait remains possible.

What does a 0.2% roll chance mean?

The reference reports Cursed at 0.2%. Using that rate, the calculated chance of at least one success is about 18.1% after 100 attempts, 63.2% after 500, and 86.5% after 1,000. This assumes independent rolls with unchanged odds and no pity system.

A one-in-500 chance does not mean the 500th attempt must succeed. Previous misses do not improve an independent next roll. This is why a budget matters more than a target number borrowed from another player’s lucky result.

Frequently asked questions

Should I reroll every B-tier result?

No. Keep useful results while building your core team. Reroll when you can explain what improvement you need and can afford to miss it.

Can I treat the tier list as a guaranteed wave-clear guide?

No. Unit choice, upgrades, team composition, and encounter conditions also matter. A trait ranking cannot promise a specific wave.

Why are some traits marked situational?

Incomplete effect descriptions should not be turned into confident recommendations. Check the live tooltip and compare actual behavior before judging an ambiguous speed modifier.
