Deciphering the Data is a short but location specific quest introduced with the Cold Snap update in Arc Raiders. The quest focuses entirely on interacting with Magnetic Decryptors placed in key buildings on the Spaceport map.

There is no extraction requirement for items, no combat objective, and no resources needed. As long as you reach the correct locations and interact with the right machines, the quest can be completed in a single raid.

How to Start the Deciphering the Data Quest

You receive the Deciphering the Data quest from the trader Shani.

Once accepted, the quest automatically tracks objectives on the Spaceport map. You do not need to carry anything with you before deploying.

Deciphering the Data Quest Objectives

You must complete the following objectives in order:

  • Use the Magnetic Decryptor in the Fuel Control Building

  • Reach the Arrival Building in Spaceport

  • Use the Magnetic Decryptor on the top floor of the Arrival Building

All objectives take place during the same raid.

Use the Magnetic Decryptor in the Fuel Control Building

The Fuel Control Building is located on the northern side of the Spaceport map.

To complete the first objective:

  • Approach the Fuel Control Building from the west side

  • Enter through the main entrance

  • Move straight through the dark interior room

  • Continue forward until you reach a green machine

  • Interact with the Magnetic Decryptor when prompted

Once you interact with the machine, the first objective will be marked complete.

Reach the Fuel Control building

Reach the Arrival Building in Spaceport

After finishing the Fuel Control step, your next destination is the Arrival Building.

The Arrival Building is located on the eastern side of the Spaceport map.

To reach the correct area:

    • Approach the building from the east side

    • Enter the structure

    • Move up to the second floor

    • Run across the hallway toward the interior section

This leads you toward the final interaction point.

On the upper level of the Arrival Building, you will see a section filled with large computer like machines.

To complete the final objective:

  • Move through the hallway on the top floor

  • Look to the right side where multiple machines are lined up

  • Approach the third machine from the right

  • Interact with the Magnetic Decryptor when prompted

Once this interaction is completed, the quest finishes immediately.

Rewards for Completing Deciphering the Data

After completing the quest objectives, return to Shani to claim your rewards. The quest does not require extraction with any items, so you can safely leave the raid once the final interaction is done.

Tips for Completing the Quest Safely

  • Bring a light loadout since combat is not required

  • Complete Fuel Control first before heading east

  • Avoid lingering in open areas of Spaceport

  • Follow interiors instead of open paths to reduce PvP encounters

Head to the top floor in the Arrival building in Spaceport
