Fish It is yet another exciting fishing simulator in Roblox. And of course it has its own fair share of unique fishes and entries in its ocean.

These fishes can have rarities from common to Mythical, depending on where and when you go fishing. Among these rare fishes is the Great whale, and having this fish in your inventory is certainly worth the effort.

So if you are struggling to get it, don’t worry. In this article, I will be giving you the entire process you need to improve your chances of catching one of these bad boys.

But before we begin, let’s take a deep look at what this fish is, and why it’s a worthy effort.

What is the Great Whale in Fish It

The Great Whale is one of the most complicated fish to catch in the game. It is a secret tier fish, which means, you need the right equipment, location, and a great deal of luck.

Much like most secret tier fish in Fish It, you only have about a 1 in 900,000 chance of actually catching it. So to maximize your efforts, follow this guide correctly, and you should have it in no time.

Where is the Great Whale

You can catch the Great Whale at Tropical Grove Island. And this is the only Secret Tier fish you can get from this Island.

Tropical Grove Island is located just behind Fisherman Island. You can also add it to the list of mini islands in Fish It.

Some defining factors of this Island are its size, the water fall, the glowing cave, and of course the unique fishes. You can catch the Great Whale by fishing on:

• The top of the Waterfall

• The bottom of the waterfall
• Inside the glowing cave.

Now that we have established where the Great Whale is, let’s now find out how to properly catch it.

Best Way to Catch the Great Whale in Fish It

Now don’t forget that this is a secret tier fish, and to catch a fish in this tier requires a great deal of luck. So using the right equipment needed to boost your luck is always welcome.

In addition to that, your rod also needs a maximum weight capacity of 90kg. Which means you can’t use just any rod to catch this fish, it needs to be as good or better than the Chrome Rod.

So in my opinion, the best rods you can use for this whale hunt are:

• Chrome Rod
• Fluorescents Rod
• Astral Rod
• Elemental Rod
• Bamboo Rod
• Ghostfin Rod
• Angler Rod

Now of course for the first 3 rods (Chrome, Fluorescents, Astral), you also need a lot of extra luck as well. So maybe you can get a luck potion to improve your chances.

But if you are a free to play type player, then you can just get the rods, and start fishing, hopefully luck will be on your side.

As for the remaining Rods, it’s safe to say you probably won’t have too much problem catching the Great Whale. From our tier list, those rods handle themselves well against any fish in the game.

But of course, you can also further increase your chances with the right Bobbers. For this fish, I suggest using either the Aether Bait or Dark Matter Bait.

You can also further improve your chances with the right enchantments as well, just to make the process a lot quicker.
