How to Get Corrupted Plants in Plants vs Brainrots

Another update is out in Roblox’s Plants vs Brainrots and there are a lot of changes added to the game once again. From new brainrots, to a new event, and added mechanics, and of course a new plant mutation called “Corrupted”.

This new mutation looks cool, fancy and above all, it is very easy to get when compared to other plant mutations. So how do you get it?

In this Article, I will be giving you more insight on this mutation, how to get it, and the best way to utilize its potential. But before we get into that, let’s take a look at what the corrupt mutation is.

What are Corrupted Plants in Plants Vs Brainrots

A Corrupted plant is a genetically modified plant which can only be created, unlike other plant mutations that grow in a plant.

Do you remember that cute bear from the plant pantry event? Well, it’s not so cute anymore, and now after studying the plants, it has found a way to corrupt them.

In a way, this is a good thing because besides the outside appeal of your plant, corrupting your plant also has its perks. And these perks are:

  • Your plants gain a massive increase in HP during a Brainrot Invasion
  • Increase in Damage as well

Besides these pointers, it is also an easy way to give any plant in your garden a mutation. Once you do corrupt your plant, you can now merge it with another mutated plant using the Merge Machine.

After merging, your plant gains an even more increase in its HP and damage. You can also use this same method to fuse a corrupt plant with a brainrot with the Fuse Machine.

So in a nutshell, this update is basically the devs making the game a lot easier for you and this mutation proves it.

How to make your Plant a Corrupted Variant in Plants vs Brainrots

Remember when I said getting a corrupted plant is very easy? Well, I meant it, and here’s all you need to do:

  • First choose a plant you want to Corrupt
  • Next Go to the Central Island (If you don’t have it, you need to buy access)
  • In the Central Island, located the Corrupted Plant Pantry

  • Then hold the plant you want to corrupt in your hand
  • Now give it to the pantry owner

Before you proceed from here, there are a couple of things you need to know.

First, corrupting a plant will remove the mutation(s) in that plant. So my advice would be to use a non-mutated plant.

Lastly, corrupting a plant will also reset your plant’s level to 1.

As you can see, my level 8 Pine-a-painter was completely reset to level 1.

But if you are other with these two changes, all you have to do is click accept and wait. This process takes a total of 5 minutes.

Once your plant is corrupted, you can now take it back to your garden and place it wherever you want.

Are Corrupted Plants Worth it

Short answer, yes they are certainly worth it and the reason is in the stats. You get all that hp boost, a guaranteed mutation, and damage, all for free.

Here is a Before and After Corruption:

I mean you can argue that the level reset isn’t exactly a good thing, but it acts as a balance feature. Your plants would be too overpowered if they stayed the same level and got such a boost.

But funny enough, I see a lot of players turning their entire garden to a corrupt field regardless. So don’t waste this opportunity, remember it is a limited time event.

Final Thoughts

In the end, I see why this plant mutation was introduced. Let’s be honest, those Brainrot Invasions are a bit overpowered the higher you go.

So this update in general added the extra help we need with new cards, and of course this corrupted mutation.

This just shows that the devs are actually listening to the community. And they are doing their best to improve player experience.
