How to Get Golden-Knotted Ancestral Bow in Crimson Desert

The Golden-Knotted Ancestral Bow is one of Crimson Desert’s most fun weapons to collect — not because of raw power, but because getting it puts you through a proper Indiana Jones-style gauntlet of traps. Here’s exactly where to find it and how to survive the run.

Where to Find the Golden-Knotted Ancestral Bow

The bow is hidden inside the Pailune Ancestors’ Ruins, located in the northern part of the Pailune region, just north of the first “i” in Silver Wolf Mountain on your map.

When you reach the wooded area of Silver Wolf Mountain, face north and look for a hatch on the floor.

Drop down the ladder inside to enter the ruins. The moment you land, the trap gauntlet begins.

How to Navigate the Traps

The ruins are packed with hazards. Here’s each one in order and how to get through it cleanly:

Collapsing Floor — As soon as you drop down and head forward, the floor will begin to collapse beneath you. Keep moving immediately — don’t stop to look around or you’ll fall into the lava below.

Spinning Blades Room — Through the next door, you’ll enter a room with spinning blades sweeping left to right across the floor. Don’t try to weave through them. Wait for the blades to fully stop, then sprint to the end of the room.

Three Swinging Platforms — Next up are three platforms you need to jump across, with swaying braziers making it trickier. This is where Precision Jump saves you a lot of frustration. Hold L1/LB, aim at your landing spot, then press Square/X to execute it. Take each platform one at a time and don’t rush.

Wall Climb at the Dead End — Once you reach the apparent dead end, don’t turn back. Jump toward the wall and use triple Force Palm (press R3 three times) to wall-climb up to the door above.

The Final Room — Approach the door at the top and it will open automatically. The Golden-Knotted Ancestral Bow is sitting on the floor inside. Walk over it to pick it up.

Golden-Knotted Ancestral Bow Stats

Stat Base Fully Upgraded
Attack 19 35
Critical Rate Lv 1 Lv 1
Refinement 3
Abyss Gear Slots 5 5

Pre-loaded Abyss Gears: Attack +2, Critical Rate +1, Health Siphon Lv 1, plus two empty slots.

Is the Golden-Knotted Ancestral Bow Worth It?

The base stats are honest — a max Attack of 35 and Lv 1 Critical Rate won’t blow you away compared to other late-game bows. But what makes this weapon genuinely interesting is the 5 Abyss Gear slots, which is the maximum for any bow in the game.

Load those two empty slots with explosive arrows or infinite arrows and the bow becomes a legitimate option for any build that leans into ranged combat.

It’s not the best bow in Crimson Desert, but it’s one of the most entertaining to get, and the Abyss Gear potential gives it real longevity if you invest in it.
