Grow a Garden Christmas Harvest Event Guide (Mutations, Rewards & More)

The lobby in Grow a Garden is covered in snow and the Christmas Harvest event is live. This limited time event works much like the Safari Harvest, but this time elves are collecting fruits for Santa.

When you hand over Christmas mutated plants, you earn presents, special seeds, pets, and help the whole server unlock community rewards.

This guide explains how the Christmas Harvest event works, how to contribute, and all the key rewards, including everything inside Santa’s Surprise Present.

How to Join the Christmas Harvest Event

You can reach the Christmas Harvest area in two ways:

  1. Walk to the central part of the lobby, where most seasonal events appear.

  2. Use the Event Lantern to teleport directly to the event.

You will see an elf standing in front of a huge sled packed with presents.

Press E to talk to the elf.

The dialogue explains that the elf is working for Santa and wants your Christmas mutated fruits.

Each fruit you donate pushes the event progress and gives you a chance at a reward.

How Christmas Mutations and Points Work

During the event, a Christmas themed weather effect triggers on the server roughly every ten minutes.

When this happens, plants in your garden can gain Christmas mutations. Harvest those fruits and turn them in to the Present NPC.

Each fruit gives contribution points based on its rarity:

Transcendent 8 points

These points matter in two ways:

  1. They count toward your individual progress, which determines how many presents you earn.

Individual Present Rewards

Every time you submit a fruit, you get one of the following presents:

Normal and Christmas presents contain basic cosmetics and items.

These rewards are exclusive to the event, so once Christmas Harvest leaves the game you may not be able to earn them again.

Community Milestones and Santa’s Stash

While you collect your own presents, the whole server is also pushing the Gifts Given meter above the sled. When the community reaches certain totals, the game unlocks:

  • New items in Santa’s Stash shop

  • New Christmas weather events

  • Pets such as the Penguin

  • Track and cosmetic rewards

  • Shorter cooldowns for Santa’s Stash

You do not need to be online at the exact moment a milestone is hit to benefit. As long as you have contributed some gifts during the event, you can claim the new rewards when you log back in.

Santa’s Stash sits near the event area and sells items like Gift Basket, Christmas Crate, Christmas Firework, Yule Log, Santa’s Stockings, and more, depending on which milestones the community has already reached.

Tips to Farm Christmas Harvest Points Faster

  1. Fill your plot with a mix of rarities
    Use part of your garden for many lower rarity plants and another section for rarer plants. This lets you generate frequent mutations plus big point spikes when rare fruits appear.

  2. Always harvest during Christmas weather
    The event weather is when mutations happen. Stay active during these periods so you never miss a wave of mutated fruits.

  3. Use pets with stealing passives
    Pets such as the Raccoon can grab fruits from other plots, giving you extra mutated fruits without extra planting.

  4. Hand in fruits regularly
    Do not sit on a huge stock of fruits. Turning them in constantly keeps presents flowing and pushes the Gifts Given total faster.

  5. Share Player Gifts
    Some rewards let you hand presents to other players. Doing this helps the entire server reach higher community milestones, which in turn unlocks better items for you as well.
